Yozakura
Carpe Diem prompt Yozakura's question, "How did you became involved with 'Soloku' or as you call it nowadays haiku?"
The first time I remember writing a haiku was in high school. It was about an apple. Then I don't think I wrote any for 25 years or so. I wrote some more a couple years ago when I was falling in love, as a Valentine's Day gift for my beau. In that little burst of haiku passion, I discovered Carpe Diem. I didn't know then that the love with Carpe Diem would be the longer-lasting one!
I am not sure how to craft a haiku that captures how I fell in love with haiku. Here's a try.
my eyes are closed but
like a dream I can still see
the breeze move the curtains
mostly poetry stuff
