six full days
I haven't seen my kids since last Sunday. Tomorrow morning I get to hug them. I cannot wait! I have missed them so much, but what a week.
Monday
Lunch with a good friend I haven't seen in months, at this delicious vegetarian place called Cafe Manna. And that night, Poets Monday at Linnemans. My second time reading poems, this time for a smaller group. I think I was slightly less nervous. Good times!
Tuesday
Yoga with one of my best friends + sushi for dinner afterwards. Dinner out with a good friend at 9 p.m.? Yes, that was my life, for one brief shining moment. Tuesday afternoon was about the height of my obsessive worry about the kids so this was a perfect way to spend the evening.Vinyasa flow yoga = Jessica's brain stops thinking for 90 minutes and is chill afterwards.
Wednesday
Blessed Feathers at the Kiwanis Park in Horicon. For free. ! I saw my very favorite band for free. And they were adorable and sounded beautiful. Here is photo of the beautiful sunny lawn where it all happened.
And I captured a video of them playing one of my favorite songs that as far as I know isn't on any of their albums yet. I have listened to it ten times so far I think.
When I got home I did all the laundry in the whole house and watched the movie Snowpiercer.
Thursday
Coffee and a slice of the breakfast pie at my favorite coffee shop, Cafe Des Arts.
After work, dinner and a movie with one of my best friends. The movie was A Most Wanted Man. It's great.
Friday
Rode my bike to work.
After work, a solo movie, which is its own sort of delight. The movie was Boyhood. Speechless.
And now tomorrow, I get to pick the boys up. And hug them. Did I mention that? So, the week will be ending on a high note.
